Directions
We are the youth hostel others claim to be in terms of Hollywood location. It is the perfect place for backpacker tourists to reach most of L.A’s main attractions. With a metro subway station right across the street literally, you can for example get to Universal Studios in 5 minutes, Downtown L.A in 15 minutes, and Korea Town in 10 minutes. Most Hollywood main attractions are within minimal walking distance. On the other hand, if you stay during the Oscars ceremony, you simply need to get close to one of our windows!
To enjoy all this, we require that you are a backpacker traveler in the touristic sense of the word, and have proof of travel and an International passport or a student ID to show upon check-in.

Public Transportation
Catch the Flyaway bus from the lower (‘arrivals’) terminal level at LAX. It's the final destination will be Union Station. Look for a green sign that reads "FlyAway, Buses and Long Distance Vans".
From Union Station, catch the Metro red-line subway towards North Hollywood. Get off at the Hollywood/Highland station. We are located right across the street from that stop.
Prime Time Shuttle Van
Outside the LAX luggage pickup area look for a Long Distance Vans sign. There should be an attendant wearing a red Prime Time uniform. Explain to the attendant that you’re going to Hollywood Youth Hostel, 6820 Hollywood blvd. They will drop you off at our door.
From Downtown LA Greyhound Station
Take Metro bus #753, #760, #53, #62, or #66 from the the immediate streets outside the Greyhound station. These stops are located at 6th and 7th streets with the cross-streets Central ave, Alameda st and Decatur st. Get off at 5th and Hill streets, and walk to the Pershing Square Metro subway station.
Take the Metro red-line towards North Hollywood. Get off at the Hollywood/Highland station. We are located right across the street from this stop.
From Hollywood Greyhound Station
Walk half a block to Hollywood Blvd. Look for the first bus stop. Take Metro bus #212 or #217, or, a small bus called the Dash. Get off at Highland ave. We are located right across the street from this stop.
From Santa Monica
Catch Metro bus #720 on Wilshire blvd (at 4th street), or, Metro bus #4/#704 on Santa Monica blvd ( at 2nd street).
Get off on Fairfax Ave. From Fairfax Ave., catch Metro bus #217 or #780, then get off at Hollywood and Highland. We’re across Highland Ave. on the same side.
From Union Station
Catch the Metro red linea from Union Station towards North Hollywood. Get off at the Hollywood/Highland subway stop. We are located right across the street from this stop.
We are situated in a 3-story building at 6820 Hollywood blvd. This is straight across the street from the XXI clothing store, the Hollywood/Highland Metro station or American Eagle Outfitters (which is next to the GAP store).
We are also right next to Budget Car Rental which is next to the El Captain Theatre building.
